Another Surgery
They can to Operate on Princess again to adjust the PA? band they put in for her heart in the first surgery. They hope this will help the respiratory problems and think it was causing her lungs to not be able to open all the way before.
So we start all over again and I can' t even hold my little girl to comfort her.
All the hope I had, and have to start all over again.

Poor Princess! Remember God is taking care of her. If He takes care of the smallest of creatures surely He is caring for your little one. I know it is frustrating not being able to hold her. Think of it as though she is still in your womb...soon your baby girl will be delivered into your arms!Praying for you all!!!!

I understand the frustration, but im thinking this would be better than to have to be intubated again. Anything less than full recovery though sucks! Hang in there.

How frustrating....Praying for her rapid, total healing and recovery, and that she will be home with you soon!

It's frustrating, but going by anonymous' comparison. Your visits to her are like the sonogram pictures pregnant women get. Except you have full color pictures and they just have grey blobs. Keep on praying and be thanful that they seem to have found what was keeping her from breathing on her own. The sooner to have her home with you. Will pray!

They didn't even call me before she went into surgery. I called on nurse on duty again this evening and asked next time something major like this happens could they PLEASE call me! They said they would. We will see.

What heart defect does she have? My son had a PA band for awhile while he got big enough for his next heart surgery. They are tricky and if they are too tight or too loose things can get wonky.

She has an AV? AB? valve? It's common in down's syndrome kids, but she does not have down's syndrome.

Bummer. I wish you could at least hold her! Have they any idea when this will all be over?

I am not familiar with that, it is a bit vague. You can always have the doctors sit down and write the diagnosis out for you. That makes it easier to do research online. This is a great place to start. http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/health/heart-encyclopedia/anomalies/
