Family of 6
D is back (14 yr old boy we took for the weekend). He wasn't happy in his other foster home, so he will be staying with us for a while. He seems like a good kid, no abuse problems, just lack of parental supervision(no supervision) at home.

We have three biological children and four we adopted through foster care here in MO. It doesn't really seem like 7 is a lot of children until I tell people we have 7 children and their eyes pop out of their heads!!
Good Luck... it sounds like the foster care system is not that greatr everywhere. I guess I should say, SW get a little full of themselves sometimes and like playing "God".

I agree with Gina's comment. Some SW do indeed get very full of themselves and go on total power trips. I know they say the County needs to be in complete control. If you push for a kid....it will be the exact reason you will not get them. At least sometimes it seems like that where I live. I suppose it is because they just need to have control, or other families will hound them and ask why they did it for one and not others? I think you guys will....in the end have a great big family! It is so nice you guys consider teenagers too! (and as big as they seem ...they are still just children-some people don't see it like that) Those are the ones that REALLY need the famiies the most I hear!
