Help Me Name Bubbles(see criteria in my comments)

I need your help coming up with a name for Bubbles. A real name. One I could change to if we get to keep her. I know some of you are highly against name changing, but with her name, it would be kinda cruel not to.

Oh yeah, Bubbles' mom is already causing lots of problems and griping about everything we do. CASA says she's just getting desperate. When are these "parents" gonna learn that griping about the caseworker and foster parents will not get your kids back!

I'm still in shock that she did not want to do whatever it took and move into wherever so she could keep her sweet little baby. I can't believe she can complain now after she pretty much decided to give her little girl to fostercare.

How about Sophie? She kinda looks like a Sophie to me.

Give me something to work with...what kinds of names do you like? First initials? etc.

For some reason, the name "Sarah" popped into my mind.

I also like Hannah and Bethany.

Perhaps you could keep her original initials for the first name? Did you ever find out her legal middle name ? Maybe you could use that instead?

ok, seriously... What could she have to complain about. Oh! These people give my little baby too much, love and attenion. Oh! NO!!! They picked her up when she was crying. AHHH the horror. See, this is why I could never be a caseworker. I would have to wack people upside the head. Oh,wait. I bet it was the outfit she had one, it was too cute!!!

I like Elizabeth, she looks like a lizzy to me. =)

    Hugs,
    Felicia

    Hmmm,

Emma, Ella and Makenna are some of my faves.

We will be changing The Princess's name, but to something similar and she can still use her given name as a nic-name. (That and she's 2 now so changing it alltogether would be a bad thing)

What about Eliana ... I have always loved that name. I want to say it means God has answered but im not quite sure IM remembering the right meaning for name.

I was thinking about Elizabeth too, since that was gonna be Princess' middle name and I could name her after Princess.

    Ok, I forgot the criteria.

I like southern belle type names, but not ones that come up in redneck jokes. I want something different but pretty and something where she won't run into many people with the same name.

Her middle initial is N. so my guess for her middle name would be Nicole, which is my middle name. I've considered calling her Nicole, but not sure the name fits her.

    Just a Mom,

Read my post, "Can you keep a Secret?" If you still cannot figure it out, email me. Please do not guess her name here though.

Here are some more ideas for you: Ella, Alexandria and Alivia. Elizabeth and Nicole are cute, but used frequently.

We are just starting our journey with highly medically fragile foster children. I'll take all the advice I can get! I would love an invitaion to The Palace if possible.

Have fun playing with names, she's young enough it shouldn't be an issue for long, if at all.

Good luck! I'm sure that you'll end up giving her the perfect name, and when you tell her what she was named by her birth mom, the two of you can have a good chuckle.

    Charlotte Nicole is beautiful

Rebecca Nicole rolls off the lips easily and it is a mix of old and new. Nickname could be Becky or Becca.

    I like Savannah Nicole . . .

Y'know, what with her first name being what it is, I'm doubting that the N. is for Nicole. Maybe Nonsense? Or Nothing? Or Nyquil? Certainly not Normal.

I love Izzy as a nickname for Elizabeth, and I think that it's fairly unusual. (Although, there is that character on Grey's Anatomy named Izzy, so maybe it will become more popular.)

Anyhoo, I'm sure that you'll know the perfect name when you see it.

There is so much in a name...
My sister adopted out of fostercare after having a sibling group of three in her home for more than three years. She did change their names, and they were 6, 5, and 3. It was an adjustment, by they transitioned fairly easily. Some people gave her some grief over it, but some people just like to give grief! Good luck and God Bless! Keep loving those babies! They are so very fortunate to have you! Should you so decide, I would love to visit the palace someday.

Well if you were to go with "N" names, I like Naomi, Nadine, Natalie, Norah, Natasha

Other pretty names, Madelynn, Cecilia (means beauty), Alexandra, Eleanor (Ellie or Ella for short), Holly, Shalyn (pronounced Shay-lynn), Elisa... I could go on :)

The middle name doesn't have to be Nicole. I'm just guessing Nicole may be her middle name, but considering her first name, I'm beginning to doubt it now.

What do you think about Claire?

    Claire Elizabeth
    Claire Nicole

    I vote for Claire Nicole.

I like the name Susanna. And I think Susanna Nicole sounds nice. There's so many options with Susanna as well; Susie, Sue, Susan, Anna, Annie, Anne. It's derived from the Hebrew word shoshan meaning lily (and originally the Egyptian for lotus) and in the New Testament it's the name of a women who ministered to Christ.

I love biblical names. My husband and his sisters all have biblical names and they all sound so beautiful and have so much meaning.

I'm sure you find her name and you will know when you've done so.

Listen to your heart. Pray to Princess to send you a name. She'll whisper it to your ear, and when you hear it, you'll know it's the name for Bubbles.

What's in a name? Usually an identity and if her first name doesn't suit here then it's a great gift to be able to name her for her. My parents changed my adopted brother's name too. So changing names isn't anathema to me.

    Now for suggestions....

    Aubrey
Sadie Jane (I don't know why I just love that name)
    Lydia
Marilee (this was our choice with DS if he had been a DD)
    Erin
    Lucinda
    Rachel
    Lillibeth
    Abigail
    Olivia
    Amelia

Admittedly I like some very old names that aren't very popular like:

    Marigold
    Camillia
    Millicent
    Angelica

    Have fun choosing a name!

    Cindi
All of my three have old fashioned names Rachel, Matthew, Stuart Ian

Oh...ok...maybe partly serious....maybe not...hmmm...how about we give Victoria a try?! (I hope you are at least minimally smiling...laughing? Hope so!) For the record, I do like the name though!

Again, you know I am vehemently against changing adopted children's names. HOWEVER, I'm with you on this one. It would be terrible to grow up with her name!

    Teamwinks,

My cousin's name is Victoria, so don't want to use that, but I love the name.

I'm leaning towards Claire Elizabeth. I don't know, but she looks like a Claire to me.

How about Cecelia? I think this is a beautiful name, and you could call her CiCi for short, which would work as a nick-name for her current name as well.

This is what we've done w/ my f.d. who is 2 -- we have a nickname that works as a nickname for her current name, and the name we plan to give her if we get to adopt.

You've already gotten many great name suggestions here in your comments.

We have full intentions of changing a child's name if we adopt from foster care. We have a family name picked out for a little girl.
