Patience Is A Virtue. . .

THAT I DO NOT HAVE!!!

The lady with the house still has not returned L's calls so we can look on it.

Baby N's social worker still hasn't called(although I know she's busy) with an answer from her supervisor.

Each day delayed, is another day I miss bonding with what may be my future child.

I wish things would move along already!

    Aww- that stinks!

How often have u been calling the social worker? I don't have any experience with this, but from visiting some of the different "foster parenting" boards, the ladies there seem to advocate the "calling twice a day" approach with social workers.

Move away from the phone - it's just like a watched pot, it'll never ring.

Honestly though, I am sorry about the waiting. Nothing worse.

Trust me...you, me, and everyone else struggling to have a child has already exhibited enough patience to qualify for sainthood. It's not that you don't have it; it's that you've used up your lifetime quota and then some!

I truly hope things start moving for you and L soon!

    Glouise,

where are the foster parent boards.
I don't want to bug her too much since we're not "fully" certified yet.

    Jenny,

I watched the phone all afernoon yesterday and nothing.

    Ornery,
Thanks, I'll tell my mom I used my lifetime quota next time she tells me to be patient.

Ya'll are the best, all of you! I don't know how I'd make it without the support of my blog friends!

Sorry you're short of patience these days. I don't blame you for being frustrated by the delays - it's so hard when moving forward depends on other people. I hope you're holding up okay.

Here's the link to iVillage's "foster parenting" board. I lurk from time to time :-)

Who can blame you? ... and of course this child would be far better off with you and so with the house. So you're also thinking of others. See how nice you are.
