Small Update on Baby N.

L called the social worker yesterday. Her supervisor doesn't have a problem with our plan.

She is busy though, so we will have to wait until Monday to start getting things rolling.

No news on the house.

L did mention going shopping for baby stuff in the next couple weeks.

Do I really get to go shopping for baby stuff and actually have hope of bringing a baby home??

So sorry to hear of the continued delays. How frustrating.
Shopping for baby stuff with the hope of bringing a baby home sounds just divine.

Waiting, and more waiting. But things are looking up it seems.

Well some news it good news. Yes it sounds like you'll graduate from the twilght zone into the daylight. When you get there please let me know how it feels. I hope your house gets sordid out quickly.

I might get a boo hiss on this theory but I will throw in my two cents.
I want to go shopping for baby stuff with a light happy heart. Not with hesitation and worry. For that reason, I am going to wait.
It's your call though - enjoy it if you do! Your situation is different, you could have a baby anyday.

    Jenny,

I was just "browsing" the internet. The social worker said she will give us time to shop for a baby bed (which kinda scares me that more delays will continue). I'm hoping for some news tomorrow of when we can starting visiting him at his foster home.

Normally, I'm very cautious with my optimism, but I really do feel like the answer to your question is a resounding, "Yes!"

Since you asked what your peanut gallery thinks...

I hope you love him. I hope he is disposed to being loved by you. I hope any & everyone in a decision-making position feels the same way. I hope you're about to meet a baby who's about to meet his parents. I hope you are a family about to happen. I hope God blesses you all RIGHT NOW.
