Complications
Ok, I'm gonna sit down and make myself blog.
Baby girl is doing great. I will be 37 weeks Tuesday. I switched back to my old doctor in a bigger city that works out of a much better hospital. It is 2 hours away, but he said he would induce at 39 weeks, so it would be planned and we could make arrangements for the boys easier.
No clue when J's adoption will be finalized or a timeline on when it may happen. His brother's adoptive mom said her friend saw his bio parents in the store and mom is pg and about to pop(just got out of jail last June). She will take the baby if it comes into care and happy for her if she does. She has been through much longer waiting than we have.
We had Smiley's feeding tube re-inserted June 2. About an hour into surgery, surgeon comes out saying "we have a problem with Smiley." Being 33 weeks pg at the time I manageed to stay calm until I learned it wasn't life threatening. Due to scar tissue, when he tried to puncture the hole to put the feeding button the stomach/esophogus got a hole punctured through them. This required immediate repair, along with a 9 day hospital stay, 3 of those days being in the PICU. He had a chest tube, central line for nutrition(couldn't eat for 7 days while stomach healed) and restraints of course so he couldn't pull anything out. My baby shower occured during the middle of this hospital stay also.
We are doing a little better now and tolerating the pediasure well, up to 5 cans a day. He threw up an entire can this morning, but it was the first and only incident so far and hoping to continue to do well and put on weight.
K failed the state required LEAP test, so had to attend summer school, even though we got his grades up to C's and higher, which is great for him.
Now I am home anxiously waiting for baby girl to arrive and enjoying being home with my kids. Will try to write/blog more as I have time.
